만든 예술품ㄷㄷ
This exhibit, completed in 2010, sits on the floor of the Mexican Caribbean off the coast of Cancun and in case you thought it was just art, it has a very practical purpose as well. The Cancun Marine Park attracts over 750,000 tourists a year and this places a lot of pressure on the natural coral reefs. These sculptures are designed to encourage coral growth and thereby add to the oceans biological flourishing. The project is unique in its fusion of public art with environmental conservation and is a visible depiction of the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature.
2010년 완성된 이 전시품은 캉쿤 해안에서 떨어진 멕시코 캐리비안 해저 지대에 있다.
단지 예술품이라고 생각하겠지만 사뭇 현실적인 목적을 지닌다. 캉쿤 해양 공원은 연간 75만명의 관광객을 유치하고 있으며 산호초 지대에 위치한다.
조각품들은 산호의 성장을 촉진하기 위해 만들어졌다. 해양에 생물학 번식을 이루기 위해 말이다.
이 프로젝트는 공공예술과 환경보호가 만난 둘도 없는 공동 프로젝트로 인간과 자연의 공생적 관계를 눈으로 보여준다.
